SNOW PART 4 - FALL Two days after the disastrous events of the previous issue, Batman checks in with Charan to discuss his team's progress. She says that they've continued investigating Scotta, and that, while Diaz, Rubens and Ross a shaken for various reasons, van Daalen is keeping them together. She also questions Batman's motives with regards the team. Elsewhere. Scotta is manhandling Parke to try to get the weapon he'd ordered. Parke tries to explain that it was stolen, but Scotta is not impressed. Outside, the team are listening in. They speculate about the theft and plant trackers. Then, Fries crashes through the wall, spraying the cryo-gun everywhere and freezing everyone he can. Scotta gets caught and Parke jumps through a window to escape. Ross calls the police and Diaz helps Parke get away. Batman arrives to confront Fries, who freezes the pond Batman landed in. Van Daalen plants a tracker on him, takes the control unit and gives chase after Fries retreats and Diaz cuts Batman free. Batman and the rest of the team argue about the night's occurrences and Ross, Rubens and Diaz leave, if only temporarily. Elsewhere. Fries is hallucinating again. The spirit of his wife encourages him to go after other companies with military contracts. Van Daalen arrives and is preparing to shoot when he falls through the roof of the abandoned building. He shoots randomly, missing Fries but destroying the ice block his wife's in. Fries freezes van Daalen, and he breaks to pieces. Fries believes he's failed his wife, until he sees her spirit telling him he just has to work harder to get her back.
